BANYAN UNVEILS RELEASE 5.54 OF ITS VINES SYSTEM

Version 5.54 of Banyan Vines has been released, bringing the option of CD-ROM-based installation and documentation. The Westborough, Massachusetts company has also added increased support for new computing systems and peripherals, including Dell Computer Corp’s PCI Fast-SCSI-II adaptor, Adaptec Inc’s 6360 adaptor, and the 3Com Corp 3C5X9 family of local network boards, as well as multiprocessor support for Intel Corp Dual Pentium Xpress modules. The software will ship from the end of May, with prices ranging from $3,000 for 10-user versions to $15,000 for the 250-user versions.
