Banyan Systems Inc, Westboro, Massachusetts developer of the Vines Virtual Network Operating System for Unix and of network servers, has acquired its UK distributor Banyan Systems (UK) Ltd in Croydon, Surrey to create its first foreign subsidiary. The unit currently employs 16 people and will be used as a springboard for expansion on the continent.
