At the Association of Banyan Users international conference, Banyan Systems Inc made a series of announcements headed by a strategic alliance and OEM agreement with Mountain View, California-based Collabra Software Inc. Westborough, Massachusetts-based Banyan also announced that it is shipping the promised version 2.0 of BeyondMail for Intelligent Messaging and expanding its relationship with Atlanta, Georgia-based Digital Communications Associates Inc. Through the agreement with Collabra, the two will jointly develop versions of Collabra’s Share product, which is designed to enable users to set up fora across electronic mail networks, for Banyan’s BeyondMail and Intelligent Messaging 111 products. The products are due to ship this quarter and in the first quarter of 1995, respectively, but there is no word yet on pricing.
