BANCTEC TO RAISE ITS OFFER FOR COMPUTER ENTRY SYSTEMS

BancTec Inc, which is bidding $6.75 a share, $33.8m, for Computer Entry Systems Inc, says it is prepared to raise its offer to as much as $9.50 a share or $47.5m on certain conditions: Computer Entry, which rejected the earlier bid as inadequate, is thinking about the new offer.
