Within the next six months, Balance Bourbeau will add RFID capabilities to its entire product suite for log bundle management, mill asset management, wood shavings management, rail car scaling government regulation tools, and finished product management.

The initial product release, AT-Virtual, is a system to automate and manage truck scaling at the logging site and at the lumber or pulp mill. This system totally eliminates keypunch errors and increases truck throughput by 3%.

Guy Bourbeau, president of Balance Bourbeau, said, We are very excited to be able to bring the Identec Solutions technology to the forestry industry. Identec Solutions’ technology provides the key piece that our customers are demanding: automatic item identification.
