Callers to IBM’s Rye Brook, New York facility were met Friday by a recorded message telling them that the staff had been sent home for the day because of a problem with the water, but the sleuths at Electronic News have sniffed out exactly what it was that rendered the building well-nigh uninhabitable: it explains it delicately as a back-up in the sewers.
