Bachman Information Systems Inc, Burlington, Massachusetts says that after a review of its financial and strategic options, including possible mergers, acquisitions and third party relationships by Morgan Stanley & Co, it has decided to remain independent, adding that the reorganisation into new business units, the formation of strategic partnerships with Powersoft Inc, Evolutionary Technologies Inc, and SHL Systemhouse Inc, and its plans to acquire WindTunnel Software Inc, are focused towards meeting users’ requirements to migrate from the mainframe to client-server and to downsize computing environments.
