Cray Research Inc has won a contract, value undisclosed, from Germany’s Federal Waterways Engineering & Research Institute for a baby Cray Y-MP 2E system to model estuaries and shorelines throughout the country: the institute designs, monitors and repairs all German waterways; Cray says that it has 307 systems installed worldwide, including 19 systems in Germany.
