Babel has raised its mobile games profile significantly of late, having developed bespoke standards software for pre-testing the technical aspects of games prior to final submission – a big cost-cutter for publishers, Babel says – and been appointed the first Vodafone Live! accredited mobile games testing house, with the two companies working closely together to govern submission criteria for games.
Babel first moved into mobile games testing at the start of 2002 when it launched a wireless lab for games, which seems to have been a wise decision, given the recent surge in popularity of mobile games on the whole, with Vodafone Live! in particular shaking things up considerably.
