Dutch enterprise resource planning company, Baan Co NV has released Baan-on-Board, a vertically targeted mid-range ERP package. Baan says it is a combination of the most frequently sold Baan products integrated with ISSI’s Safari and Microsoft’s SQLServer. Baan has also launched a range of ‘industry solutions’ templates to work in connection with Baan-on-Board. Industries targeted include electronics, automotive suppliers, metal products and fine chemicals. Both products make use of dynamic enterprise modeling, which the company says couches IT terminology in a business process format, so that somebody with limited IT knowledge can work with the software.
