The partnership will help healthcare payors and healthcare benefit providers improve workflow, making it easier to manage their businesses and increase their competitive advantage. By combining Axway’s Synchrony platform with Edifecs’ data quality and compliance adaptors, customers will have a business-to-business solution that will help them address industry standards, said Axway.

It will enable secure connectivity, specification authoring and publishing, trading partner on-boarding and management, business activity monitoring, and message format and data content validation. It is also expected to help organizations achieve Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act compliance in transactions and code sets, with support for validation of Wedi-Snip Types 1-6 out-of-the-box, and support for easily implementing Type 7, added Axway.

Herb Larsen, senior vice president of alliances at Edifecs, said: Axway’s deep expertise in data integration combined with our proven data quality products, addresses a key problem for many organizations managing business-critical data in motion. Axway’s and Edifecs’s solutions are highly complementary, and together provide unmatched capabilities for managing the complex business-to-business relationships today’s enterprise must support.

Sia Zadeh, director of business development at Axway, said: This partnership combines our experience and knowledge to create solutions that make it easier for our customers to process claims and other transactions, be compliant with government regulations, and improve customer satisfaction. We’ll bring solutions to the industry that improve business processes, which can, in turn, reduce costs and improve responsiveness.
