AXIME SELLS ATM BRANCH TO INNOVATRON

Groupe Axime SA, one of France’s largest software and services companies, has sold its wholly owned cash machine subsidiary ATM SA to Innovatron SA, which is owned by Roland Moreno, the inventor of the smart card, says La Tribune-Defosses: ATM, which specializes in distribution, installation and maintenance of automatic teller machines, reported 1992-93 revenues of $20m, employs 164 people and manages an installed base of 44,000 terminals; the sale, for which the amount was not disclosed, is part of Axime’s process of concentrating on its core businesses of processing, facilities management and systems engineering and integration.
