AVX CORP BUYS STC’s TANTALUM CAPACITOR BUSINESS

STC Plc has sold its Tantalum capacitor business to AVX Corp for about UKP29m: it has plants in Paignton, Devon and Furth-Bislohe, West Germany, and did about UKP26m in sales in 1986.
