Digital audio and video technology firm Avid has released three new server and storage products which offer cost-effective access, improved flexibility, increased storage capacity, and enhanced workflow integration.

The three new products, AirSpeed 5000 video server, Avid ISI 2000 near-line storage application and Avid ISIS 7000 v4.0 will help media producers to meet production demands by extending ingest, production, and playback speed and capacity.

AirSpeed 5000 video server features new codec flexibility with Avid DNxHD playback included in HD versions, Avid production workflow integration, and new, high-availability features.

The new video server supports production workflow and playback to accelerate HD and SD workflow with ingest and playout of multiple video formats.

It also delivers reliable master control service while supporting standalone operation with Avid and third-party editing systems for smaller news production environments.

ISIS 2000 works with Avid Interplay to provide enterprise-wide search, browse, access, and management of media that expands media access and augments real-time production.

The new disk-based storage system will enable customers to economically extend their media library and optimise their overall storage investment while maintaining direct workflow linkage with editorial production.

Avid has doubled the storage capacity in Avid ISIS 7000, with the new i4000 storage blade.

The ISIS 7000 delivers improved predictable, linear performance to meet the challenge of large installations and uncompressed HD real-time workflows. A single ISIS 7000 system supports up to 24 ISIS Engines, raising the raw capacity to 1.53PB.
