SK Global, which has been concentrating on logistics and direct sales, expects to strengthen its network business through the business partnership with Avaya, while Avaya hopes the relationship will facilitate the provision of its services and products in the Korean network market.

SK Global, which became a business partner of Avaya through this partnership, will mainly provide Avaya’s Cajun switch series and wireless solutions.

Avaya’s Cajun series has many excellent features such as perfect traffic control, high performance, and low upgrade cost. Avaya’s wireless solution, which has the largest market share in Korea, boasts high speed, high reliability and high security. Both companies plan to expand market share aggressively by establishing a joint marketing plan for Cajun switches and wireless solutions.

Hwan Soo Joo of SK Global says, I am extremely pleased to be working with Avaya, a world-class corporate networking solution provider. By entering into a partnership with Avaya, we are able to expand our business from the communications system sector to network products, which will provide as an opportunity for us to become a full-service telecommunications distribution firm.

Sang Chul Lee, director of Enterprise Networking Systems (EIS), Avaya Korea said: Avaya introduced the business partnership system to provide prompt support to our customers with sophisticated technology and service in the ever-changing network market. By forging an alliance with SK Global, which has various channels in the domestic IT industry, Avaya’s position in the domestic network market is expected to strengthen.

Avaya is cooperating with several business partners in Korea including Locus, CATI Information, FNET, TH Cable, Hansol Telecom, and LGTEK.
