Cambridge, UK intelligent agent software house Autonomy Ltd has added to its i3 Agentware series of intelligent information sifting tools for corporates with two new server products, i3 Daily Briefing and i3 Live Alert. The products are designed to monitor and deliver relevant information from numerous resources available from the company’s intranet, including the web, news feeds, electronic mail, corporate memos, archives and document stores. Using Concept Agents, defined by users or administrators, i3 Daily Briefing will trawl through specified documents, internal or external, and report back to individual users. i3 Live Alert will monitor live news feeds or information streams and alert specific users. UK prices of corporate licenses are 20,000 pounds for Daily Briefing and 15,000 pounds for Live Alert, on Sun Solaris 2.5, DEC Unix 4.0 for Alpha, and Windows NT servers. Autonomy, the spin-off from Cambridge, UK-based neural networking pioneer Cambridge Neurodynamics Ltd, launched its first Agentware product, Content Server, back in April (CI No 3,133), and followed it a month later with Guardian Server, an intelligent content screening tool. It now has US offices in Palo Alto, California, and Roseland, New Jersey.
