Morrisons deploys Automic to automate its processes

Morrisons, one of the UK's largest supermarkets, is to adapt Automic's automation services to run its manufacturing and retail businesses.

Morrisons has implemented Automic’s platform to help reduce costs and errors across its supply chain by connecting and automating its disparate systems and entire process of its produce.

Morrison’s IT operations manager, Tony Stephenson, said the size and scale of its production makes it impossible to produce manually.

He explained: "Morrisons is in a unique position, in the way it serves its customers by handling all aspects of the supply chain. The amount of applications required to operate this successfully, coupled with the testing and rollout of processes, means that automation is a crucial cog in Morrisons’ success.

"Manual execution of these processes wouldn’t allow us to run, build and transform the businesses in the same way that automation does."

Automic provides automation services to businesses worldwide in retail, telecoms and financial services.
