Autodesk Inc reported first-quarter results – which included non- recurring charges of $58.1 from the recently completed acquisition of Softdesk Inc (CI No 3,130) – that were just slightly better than Wall Street expected. The design software firm reported a net loss of $52.7m on revenue down 13% at $119m, compared to net income of $19m, or $0.39 per share, a year ago. Excluding the charges, the company showed a profit of $5.4m, or $0.11 per share, when analysts were counting on $0.10.
