The founder of Sausalito, California-based Autodesk Inc, John Walker has assumed the post of manager of technology at the computer-aided design company after spending much of the year complaining that the company was squandering its dominance of its chosen market by being dilatory in developing new products, the Wall Street Journal reports: Walker resigned as president and chief executive in 1986 but stayed on as a programmer and engineer; his successor, Alvar Green, resigned in October, but is staying on until a successor is appointed.
