The Austrian government has extended the deadline for bids for the state’s third mobile phone network to July 2 after bidders found they had other engagements in the country and were thus unable to submit the offers on time. So far the only consortium to express an interest in the license is Connect Austria, made up of Austria’s Radex-Heraklith, Germany’s Viag AG, unlisted Constantia Privatbank and bank Girocredit of Austria.
