DB Capital Partners led the round by investing $685,000 through its Ericsson Deutsche Technology Fund. The balance of the investment round made up by the founders of g2 Microsystems and some private individuals.

In addition, DB Capital Partners director Matthew Koertge will join the board of g2 Microsystems.

All that is known is about the Eight Mile Plains, Australia-based start-up is that it is developing silicon that enables sophisticated RFID products.

DB Capital revealed that some of the founders and engineers of g2 Microsystems were previously from Australian technology company Radiata Inc, which was acquired by Cisco Systems in 2000.
