According to Interwoven, its Collaborative Document Management (CDM) platform was chosen because of its ability to work with existing Linux and Unix systems. It also has a ‘workspace’ content-centric design which enables the consolidation of documents, e-mails, calendar items and contacts in a single, centralized file that is accessible both internally and externally.
We’re confident that Interwoven will significantly contribute to improved efficiency within the legal department, as we now have an audit trail for contracts from the time they are initiated to the time they are reviewed, signed and so on, said Richard Tan, director, information technology services division at Deakin University.
The University is also considering leveraging the CDM platform to improve the project management process within its departments.
The University had previously licensed Interwoven’s TeamSite software as part of its overall ECM initiative across its campuses.
