AUSTRALIAN STOCK EXCHANGE TO SET UP MARKET ON THE NET

The Australian Stock Exchange is planning to set up an alternative capital market over the internet to enable small companies to raise capital. Small businesses are an important part of the Australian economy, and there are currently few venture capital lenders, so the ASX believes at least 20,000 small Australian firms might take advantage of such a market.
