A recent Ernst & Young survey of over 4,000 IT managers worldwide has found that Australians are particularly afraid of information security breaches. 60% of Australian managers surveyed said they felt their systems were open to attack, against 36% of respondents overall. Ernst & Young found, however, that Australian companies’ willingness to act on security problems did not match their heightened awareness. A full 53% of Australian respondents said they would not even know if the security of their internet-connected systems had been compromised.
