Doctors in Australia fear that mobile phones may be behind a huge increase in brain tumors, the Daily Mail reports. It says that cases have increased by 60% in women and 50% in men in the ten years since mobiles became popular. Cancer specialist Dr Andrew Davidson has asked Australia’s biggest phone company Telstra to co-operate on research to see if there is a link between mobiles and the disease. The World Health Organization has called for more international research to determine whether mobiles cause a range of diseases, including cancer.
