Intel Corp has picked August 24 as the launch date for its next set of processors, and at the same time will deliver a progress report on the segmentation strategy it introduced this year. Although most of the talk has been about much-needed upgrades to the low-end Celeron chips for basic PCs, Intel is expected to launch processors in several market sectors on that date.
