AT&T’S LACKLUSTRE PERFORMANCE

Wryly commenting on AT&T’s planned investment in Sun Microsystems in light of its own lacklustre performance in the computer business, PaineWebber analyst Jack Grubman told the Wall Street Journal, I’d rather see AT&T give Sun $300m than have AT&T spend it internally.
