Attivio, a provider of business intelligence and data warehousing offering, has launched Active Intelligence Engine (AIE) for SharePoint Integration, which gives users a single interface to find and aggregate information across multiple SharePoint instances.

AIE for SharePoint Integration enables secure access to all types of information by unifying diverse datasets, while avoiding the cost and delays of legacy integration stages, the company said.

AIE for SharePoint Integration is built on Attivio’s unified information access platform, the Active Intelligence Engine, which integrates all types of information, regardless of source or format, delivering complete information in response to a single query.

AIE for SharePoint Integration delivers high-performance access to diverse information; and retains data relationships from text sources, ensuring relevancy and comprehensiveness of query results.

It offers text analytics, such as classification, key phrases and sentiment analysis; and presents results in a variety of customisable interfaces, from lists and reports to interactive dashboards, in and across SharePoint, using Attivio’s SharePoint WebParts UI Library.

It automates information delivery and alerts to people, interfaces and designated applications; rapid implementation so time-to-value is achieved in weeks rather than months; closes security gaps with Active Security, AIE’s rapid update permissioning, ensuring users see only what they are authorised to see.

Attivio CTO Sid Probstein said when SharePoint is brought into an organisation, its use spreads quickly and before you know it, the organisation has hundreds or thousands of SharePoint pages.
