ATTACHMATE STRIKES AGAIN, THIS TIME MOVING FOR WOLLONGONG GROUP

By CBR Staff Writer

After sitting quietly up in Bellevue, Washington and making very little noise for several years, Attachmate Corp has turned from a spotted owl into a grizzly bear, and having digested last year’s acquisition, Digital Communications Associates Inc, has chosen another industry veteran, Wollongong Group Inc for its next meal. Attachmate now regards itself as an Intranet specialist, providing the tools for building networks that ferry information around within a company and provide Internet access. Wollongong, famous for its TCP/IP implementations, is described as a leader in object-oriented internetworking software.Terms of the letter were not disclosed.
