ATTACHMATE HAS INTEGRATED ISDN NODE FOR REMOTE ACCESS

By CBR Staff Writer

Bellevue, Washington-based Attachmate Corp has released Remote LAN Node 4.0, claimed as the first integrated ISDN offering for remote access, and said to enable access to a Remote LAN Node Server in a fraction of the time required with a modem. The offering supports simple access to the local network over ISDN, asynchronous, X.25, cellular or switched 56Kbps connections in the same scaleable server. Both ISDN Basic Rate and Primary Rate boards complying to the Communications Application Programming Interface 2.0 standard are supported by the RLN Server, says the company. Additional features include ISDN Caller ID and dial-out modem pooling. Prices for the RLN 4.0 go from ú530 for a two-port version, to ú8,700 for a 32-port version.
