China has given AT&T Corp a $13m contract to set up new Synchronous Digital Hierarchy ultra-high-speed digital transmission and advanced digital cross-connection systems, the Xinhua news agency said: the systems will be supplied under an agreement between AT&T and the Shenzhen Posts & Telecommunications Bureau for the special economic zone north of the Hong Kong border.
