AT&T Corp is threatening to take its dispute with Ameritech Corp over local call charges in Ohio, to a third court case, having had two court cases fail already. AT&T has alleged that Ameritech has been overcharging it for connections to its interstate network, a link that has be paid for by AT&T when they connect a long distance call, a process known as telecoms interconnect. AT&T claims that Ameritech has overcharged long distance phone companies $64m in the last year, and AT&T is due to appeal to the Ohio Supreme Court, but an Ameritech spokesman claims that AT&T has got a slim chance, as AT&T’s case has already been rejected twice.
