AT&T UNIT, MICROSOFT EXPAND NT PACT

AT&T Corp appears to be cooling down on its orphan child Unix in favour of Windows NT with news that the AT&T Global Information Solutions unit is accelerating development initiatives for Microsoft Corp’s NT. By end-1995, it will complete development of the AT&T Top End transaction processing monitor, its LifeKeeper FRS Clusters, NetVault and CommVault network back-up and restore for NT.
