AT&T Corp will be one of Telecom Italia’s core group of shareholders when the Italian phone monopoly is privatized next month, Telecoms Minister Antonio Maccanico told La Stampa. Other members of the core group will be unveiled at the end of September. Telecom Italia and AT&T signed a strategic partnership agreement earlier this summer.
