AT&T TO EXPORT THE SPLIT SYSTEM MULTI-FUNCTION TELEPHONE TO ASIAN COUNTRIES

By CBR Staff Writer

AT&T Co is to start exporting its Split System multi-function telephone, previously sold only in the US, to Asian countries such as Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea: because of the strong yen and the weak dollar, equipment previously manufactured in Far Eastern AT&T-owned factories is being supplanted by cheaper US made equipment; the system supports six external lines and up to 16 extensions with the usual conference and other PABX services.
