AT&T TO ACCOMPANY 3B2/600 WITH LASER PRINTER, COMMS

By CBR Staff Writer

AT&T Co’s 3B2/600, initially based on the 18MHz version of the WE32100 and set for launch tomorrow (CI No 638) will be accompanied by the new System V.3 release of Unix, a laser printer, some new local area network products, and new communications software for linking to IBM systems, reports to the Wall Street Journal. Separately James Edwards, head of AT&T Information Systems Systems until he was replaced by Vittorio Cassoni late last year, has now quit AT&T altogether to become president and chief executive of a company called TelWatch that is designing network management systems in Boulder, Colorado.
