AT&T SCRAPS SATELLITE PLANS TO FOCUS ON CORE SERVICES

Following the withdrawal of its license application to the Federal Communications Commission, AT&T Corp will not be building or launching geostationary satellites as part of its Ka-band project. The decision is thought to have been made after the company decided to focus on its core communication services and build online and wireless services.
