American Telephone & Telegraph Corp announced that it has become the first company to offer high-speed private line service between the US and South Korea. The T45 service, in conjunction with Korea Telecom, allows the transmission of digital data at speeds of up to 45 million bits per second. The service will be intially offered between Seoul and San Francisco and, AT&T says, is already attracting interest from various multinational business clients. No definite plans for expansion of the service are currently in place.
