The AT&T Network Systems International unit of AT&T Corp has formed a joint venture with Odessa Cable Works, a Ukrainian telecommunications cable manufacturer, to manufacture fibre optic cable primarily for the Ukrainian market: the AT&T unit will own 51% and Odessa Cable will own 49% of the venture, to be called AT&T Odessa Fiber Optic Cables; manufacturing will begin in late 1994 with products to be available by fourth quarter of 1995.
