By CBR Staff Writer

Reflecting lower access charges, the US Federal Communications Commission has ordered AT&T to cut its long-distance telephone rates by $772m, 3.5%, annually: the cut is in line with AT&T’s proposal in November, and will benefit daytime users most – peak rates fall 6.4%, evening rates by 1.9%, night, 0.6%.
