QSound Labs Inc reports that AT&T Co’s microelectronics unit has licensed its Virtual Audio technology to be offered with AT&T’s VCOS Multimedia Module Library: the VCOS Operating System is a real-time system that supports multi-tasking on AT&T’s DSP3200-based products and includes a low-level audio driver that supports Windows Multimedia Extensions; Virtual Audio provides expanded sound fields for computers and needs only traditional stereo systems for play-back.
