AT&T IRELAND HAS $16M DEAL WITH KENYAN PUBLIC TELECOMMUNICATIONS AUTHORITY

AT&T Ireland has signed a $16m deal with the Kenyan public telecommunications authority for transmission equipment: the only wholly-owned international subsidiary of AT&T Co will be acting as a systems house on the project, buying in some equipment such as solar power plant, cable and rectifiers from UK or Irish companies in phase two of a contract initiated in April 1986.
