AT&T FINALISES LARGE CONTRACT WITH AMERICAN AIRLINES

By CBR Staff Writer

AT&T Co is said to be finalising one of its largest ever commercial contracts with AMR Corp’s American Airlines for personal computers and networking equipment, worth an estimated $80m: over 14,000 80386-based machines running MS-DOS are involved, although its not clear whether these will be supplied through AT&T’s Olivetti & Co deal or under the more recent OEM agreement for boards with Intel Corp.
