AT&T, DEBIS IN RUMORED BID FOR E2 LICENSE

AT&T Corp and the Debis services unit of Daimler-Benz AG are planning to form a consortium to bid for the E2 digital cellular phone license with Unisource NV, Wirtschafts Woche reported. Debis called the story speculation. British Telecommunications Plc is in alliance with Viag AG and RWE AG in the bidding for the E2 license.
