Ahead of buying British Telecommunications Plc’s 22% stake, AT&T Co says that it today bought about 14.5m new Class A common shares of McCaw Cellular Communications Inc at $27.625 each, for a total price of $400m, which gives it the right to nominate one McCaw director.
