AT&T Co claims it has discovered the key step needed to complete an effective all-dry lithography process that could transform the way circuits are laid down on siliconwafers: the company says that all-dry processing may enable semiconductor devices to be fabricated completely inside a series of atmospherically controlled interconnected chambers without the need for extensive costly clean rooms.
