AT&T Corp chairman Robert Allen called Microsoft Corp chairman Bill Gates a tough competitor who would do virtually anything to kill the rest of us in remarks to the Commonwealth Club current affairs forum in San Francisco. Allen said Gates was very smart and that we do respect him but, in response to a question from the floor he said one has to be very suspicious.
