AT&T Corp is selling its US-based copper exchange cable, cords, and custom cable assembly business to CableSystems International Inc on undisclosed terms: the sale includes the Phoenix Works plant in the Arizona city, where most of AT&T’s manufacturing of copper cable for local telephone networks has been based; CableSystems was formed for the purpose by members of the Phoenix Works management team and Citicorp Venture Capital.
