Rich McGinn, who has been president of AT&T Computer Systems, is not expected to make the transition to the merged company, its top slots having already gone to NCR Corp executives: doubtless AT&T will find a home for him elsewhere; NCR’s top technologists Phil Neches and AT&T vice-president Bill O’Shea are regarded as the architects of the new product line-up; how middle management shakes out is still up in the air – now that they know what the products are going to be they’ll be going around recruiting personnel and property in Dayton, Ohio is about to turn into a boom market; AT&T salespeople start training on NCR kit next month.
