AT&T AND COMPRESSION LABS TO WORK TOGETHER ON VIDEOPHONE CHIP SETS

AT&T Co and Compression Labs Inc, San Jose have joined forces to develop chip sets for use in videophones and desktop video conferencing systems working over analogue lines: the chip sets will conform to the Global VideoPhone Standard developed by the two (and used in AT&T’s VideoPhone 2500 and Compression Labs’ Cameo Personal Video System) and which have been submitted to the CCITT and ANSI for possible adoption as a standard.
